| WHY DOES THE LAMP GO OUT FOR ENGLAND?
By all accounts the atmosphere in the England dressing room, with Wayne Rooney's kit being hurled in all directions, was a shade too heated for rational thought. The immediate aftermath of the frustrating draw against Israel in Tel Aviv was not the time for sober reflection. But if England are to retain hope of qualifying for Euro 2008 then the senior players must answer one question pretty damn quick. Why do players who perform so creditably in the Premiership week in and week out play so ineptly when they pull on an England shirt? Not just one or two of them. The distressing reality against Israel was that not one player came close to living up to his Premiership reputation, let alone enhancing it. Not 30million Rio Ferdinand, nor 150,000-a-week John Terry, whose workload was light but who too often made it appear heavy going.

The roving pack of moms jumping and singing, running and clapping around McKinley Park three days a week is actually an organized exercise group -- Stroller Strides. It's a chance for moms to get in a workout and, at the same time, entertain their strollered kids with songs about 10 little monkeys and a farmer with a dog named Bingo. "We tend to live for our children and we neglect ourselves," says Alyssa Rose, the Stroller Strides trainer. "And it can be very challenging to leave your kids at a nursery at a gym." .

Spiderman thief who uses trick of the light
RESIDENTS want a lamp-post removed from their street after an audacious burglar scaled it in a bid to access homes in Highgate. Several people called the police in the early hours of March 31 as the thief woke them when he clambered across roof tops and balconies along the High Street. Shop owners and residents are now asking for the lamp-post, which is only a couple of feet from their businesses, to be moved further away.Raj Kara-Rajani who lives above his Highgate Food and Wine shop was the first to see the climber. He said: "I was just getting up for work at about 5am when I saw the lamp-post shaking through the window. I didn't know what was happening, I thought it was an earthquake or something. "I opened the window and there was a guy trying to climb up. If I had opened it any further I would have knocked him off and killed him and I would have been in trouble.
The Evolution of Open Source
Much of the talk about enterprise open source software centers around its potential, with upbeat projections offered for the next year, the next five years, and beyond. But such forecasts overlook a simple fact: open source is already well-established in the enterprise. Moreover, adoption goes way beyond Linux. Here’s a look at the state of the penguin in information technology. The bottom line: the penguin is cool. .
